This city is quiet. Asleep. As if everyone has decided to take the week off, curl up in bed and do nothing. But here I am in deserted downtown wishing I could be one of those people. The streets are empty, the lights are dim, and as I silently wait for some type of noise to make this 10 hour stretch of a day seem productive, I'm envious.
A "massive" snowstorm is supposed to grace us with its presence today. We don't shut down. Our city never shuts down.
Why can't we just shut down?
