Lies.
Sticks and stones hurt at the moment, but the bruises heal and become nonexistent.
Words don't fade.
You can't erase them, can't will them to fade away, or wish they weren't engraved.
People can be so unbearably mean.
People ARE mean :( But I try to focus on the roses and pearls people say. Sticks and stones are ugly.
